Event overview.
We were tasked with organising and delivering an engaging employee event centred around a sporting tournament with a festival ambience, uniting 1,500 participants from 23 different regions in the Americas for a 2-day football and cheerleading competition. Our objective was to elevate the event annually by incorporating innovative experiences and enhanced features.
Event delivery.
Months of pre-event engagement through social media campaigns and interactive content helped build excitement. The festivities extended beyond the tournament, with live music, food trucks and a variety of activities. Evening highlights included a Star Wars-themed ‘May the 4th Be With You’ celebration and the first-ever Americas Cup pool party.
CREATIVE
Revitalising the event for 2024 involved enhancing its classic look and feel. This updated vision was translated into bespoke digital platforms, including the creation of a website and a custom app. The creative was brought to life across all areas of the event with everything from branded entranceways, merchandise and individual touchpoints in the experience areas.
COMMUNICATION
Guest management and communication commenced well before the event, beginning with the launch of a specialised event website followed by various social media campaigns and interactions. These efforts culminated in the development of a tailored app consolidating all event information in a convenient, portable format.
EXPERIENCE
The on-site atmosphere exuded vibrant energy from beginning to end. Attendees arrived from all corners of the Americas, ready to compete after months of preparation. The event took over 2 locations, the hotel and football fields, both of which we transformed into festival spaces for a captivating 2-day event. Beyond the daytime activities, guests enjoyed a Star Wars-themed evening titled ‘May The 4th Be With You’ and the inaugural Americas Cup pool party. Plans for future events are already underway and we are excited about the introduction of a women’s tournament in 2026.
